not all部分否定

all，every，both，always等用于否定结构时不是全部被否定，而是表示其中的一部分被否定。而且英语多半将not置于谓语中。

例如：

All is not a gold that glitters.（即Not all that glitters is gold.）
闪闪发光物，未必尽黄金。

Every one cannot write novels.（即Not every one can write novels.）
不是所有的人都能写小说。

I don’t like both of the novels.（即I like only one of the two novels.）
这两本小说我不是都喜欢。

an average of平均有(跟数词)

例句：An average of ten students are absent each day.
      每天平均有10个学生缺课。

as well as 在这里作并列连词，连接Students from other states和international students，其意义为“不但……而且……”，“既……又……”，这时相当于“not only…but also..”。但是 as well as 侧重前者，not only..but also侧重后者
  例句：He speaks Japanese as well as English and French.他不但讲英语和法语，而且还讲日语。   

              =He speaks not only English and French but also Japanese
 

注意：as well as 连接两个名词作主语时，谓语动词要和as well as 前面的名词在数上保持一致
   例如：Helen as well as I is eager to see the performance.  海伦和我一样急于要看演出。

              I as well as they am ready to help you.         不仅他们愿意帮助你，我也愿意帮助你。

      Until these conditions are met we cannot proceed with the sale.

例句：Mary and John took out a marriage license.
