1. A tag question is a short question added to a statement.
add to 增加,加强
例句:I have nothing to add to my earlier statement.
我对我先前说的话, 没有什么补充的。
2. They think it might show that men have more power in the conversation, and use tags to ask for information or agreement.
ask for 请求…; 要求…; 找…
例句:He had the audacity to ask for an increase in salary.
他竟然厚着脸皮要求增加薪水。
3. The form of that answer depends on the type of tag question. Let's look at the two types of tag questions.
depend on 依赖; 相信; 信赖
例句:Our desired expenditures depend on our national income.
我们所需的支出取决于我们的国民收入。
4. Speakers saying something that they are almost certain the listener will agree with use a falling intonation.
agree with 与某人[观点]一致, 同意[赞同]某人的意见
例句:I agree with you to some degree.
在某种程度上我与你意见一致。
