1. But some participial phrases can move to different places in a sentence -- depending on how the sentence is structured.
depend on 依赖; 相信; 信赖
例句:I can always depend on you, Sam.
我知道我可以依靠你 ,Sam。
2. Many great musicians, poets, and speechwriters use movable phrases when they are writing or speaking, even if they do not consciously think about it.
even if 哪怕; 虽然; 即使
例句:This is true even if the problem has gone away by itself.
即使问题已经自行解决了,也真的会出现这些顾虑。
think about 考虑…; 捉摸…
例句:I'll have a think about that
我会考虑考虑的。
3. They want to make sure an important word or idea comes at certain parts of a sentence.
make sure 把事情弄清楚,核实或查明某事物
例句:I'll have to make sure I'm not chased.
我一定想办法不叫他们发现。
4. Important information can come at the beginning of a sentence, too.
at the beginning of 在…之初
例句:The teacher always calls the roll at the beginning of the class.
上课开始时,老师总要点名。
5. The participial phrase gets the least amount of emphasis when it is in the middle of the sentence: For example, "My friends, walking at night, used headlamps."

例句:I was in the middle of the back row
