The more syllables the merrier.

Newlywed Eva Longoria has opted to add Tony Parker's surname to her own, making her Eva Longoria Parker, the Desperate Housewives star exclusively tells E! News.

"I actually completely adopted the new name and I love it...I'm a Parker now," she said Thursday at the Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer) annual benefit in Los Angeles, which she hosted along with George Lopez. "I love every bit of it...I like the tradition of changing the name."

Starting Sunday, Desperate Housewives' credits will reflect the actress' name change.

Longoria Parker, who also donated a handful of outfits for the charity to auction, says she has had a month of getting used to being called Mrs. Parker while living in Texas, where Parker, 25, plays for the San Antonio Spurs, and that "it's really nice to hear."

"Especially in Texas, everyone is really respectful there," she said.

The couple tied the knot in July in Parker's native France. They made things official July 6 with a small civil ceremony and followed it up the next day with more religious nuptials at a centuries-old cathedral and a lavish blowout at a countryside estate.

The 32-year-old actress and her NBA All-Star hubby walked the red carpet Wednesday in Mexico City at Vogue's Fashion Mexico gala, flashing their white-gold wedding bands.

But although they remained mum about the name change at the time, it turns out Eva is going to be the only new Parker for awhile.

"Not for me, and not for Gabrielle," she told reporters when asked about her childbearing prospects, both on her hit ABC show and in real life.
