娱乐英语新闻:Nicole Richie injured by stalking paparazzo

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Nicole Richie, a famous television actress, was injured Monday when a paparazzo's Jeep Cherokee rear-ended her Land Rover in Beverly Hills, according to online reports.

    Richie complained of pain and said she would seek her own medical attention, Beverly Hills Police Department Lt. Tony Lee said.

    Freelance photographer Eduardo Arrivebene, 29, was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license after the collision occurred at 2 p.m. local time(2100 GMT).

    Arrivebene is an illegal immigrant, the celebrity news Web siteRadar Online reported.

    Beverly Hills police Lt. Mike Hill refused to confirm Arrivebene's immigration status.

    Radar Online reported that Arrivebene initially denied he was driving, then said he had dropped his camera on the floor and was trying to retrieve it when the collision took place.

    Richie is best known for co-starring with Paris Hilton in the 2003-2005 Fox Broadcasting unscripted series "The Simple Life."
