娱乐英语新闻:Xu Jinglei offers more office politics advice

BEIJING, Nov. 29 -- The Chinese edition of "Harper's Bazaar" has named Chinese actress-director Xu Jinglei as guest editor-in-chief of the magazine's special issue targeting women who work in offices.

    The appointment comes following Xu's latest movie about dealing with office politics. She is the director and lead actress of the film.

    "Du Lala's Promotion" is adapted from a bestseller of the same name in which an office worker named Du Lala takes the high road to get promoted. The Chinese novel is widely regarded as a guide for coping with office politics.

    Xu told Sina.com.cn on Sunday that before making the film, she had interviewed many office workers and had "too many tips to put in just one film."

    Xu says she is willing to share her tips in "Harper's Bazaar", which is very popular among female white-collar workers in China.

    "This issue will be very helpful for them, and those tips will be time-tested," Xu said.

    The special issue will be available in time for the release of Xu's film this coming spring.

    Xu, whose career covers acting, directing and the Internet, publishes her own online lifestyle magazine called "Kaila".
