Mayer made the confession in an interview with the magazine Rolling Stones. Mayer, 32, started dating 40-year-old actress Jennifer Aniston in April 2008. Their on-and-off relationship lasted for a year till the couple split for good in March 2009, because Mayer couldn't see himself setting down.

The musician referred the break-up as "one of the worst times" of his life, and took the blame for the split. He regretted how he ended things with the Friends star, even went far as calling himself a "hole."

As for his current love life, Mayer said he now wants to settle down with the right woman, the only problem being he isn't able to find one.
