娱乐英语新闻:Sandra Bullock confirms filing for divorce

LOS ANGELES, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Academy Award-winning actress Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce from husband Jesse James and adopted a baby boy as a single mother, Los Angeles media outlets reported on Wednesday.

She first broke the news to People magazine which will hit the stand on Friday, and she was later described by TMZ.com in an exclusive report as that she had filed for divorce from James, a motorcycle mogul to whom she had married for almost five years in Travis County, Texas, under the initials B.A.S. backward last Friday.

The actress, 45, and her husband, 41, split just 10 days after Bullock won the best actress Oscar for her role as an American footballer's foster mother in the drama-sports film "The Blind Side" in the wake of his cheating scandal.

She cites discord or conflict of personalities in court papers and states the couple has no child under 18 years of age who is entitled to financial support, according to reports. There are also reports that Bullock has filed a restraining order against James, forcing him to stay away from her.

James has reportedly confessed to Bullock that he had been unfaithful with at least seven women and issued a public apology to his family following the reports of his infidelity. He has briefly checked into a Tucson, Arizona rehab facility to receive treatment for sex addiction.

The actress also sensationally revealed to People that she has been keeping an adopted son secret since January.

Louis Bardo Bullock, who was born in New Orleans about 3 1/2 months ago, is named after jazz great Louis Armstrong, who had particularly touched Bullock with his signature song, "What a Wonderful World."

Bullock and James -- he has three children from two previous unions -- started the adoption process about four years ago.

"He's just perfect. I can't even describe him any other way," she told People. "It's like he's always been a part of our lives."

Bullock also said she is "sad" and "scared" about the end of her five-year marriage. When asked about whether James had cheated, Bullock told People she "had no idea about anything."

"I did the only thing I could do, and that was to pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis' things and get out of town. My main concern was Louis."
