BEIJING, June 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Many of us might think it would be great if we worked for Oprah Winfrey as the U.S. billionaire media mogul has just given enormous bonus checks to her staff.

The U.S. media reported Wednesday that the popular U.S. television talk show host gave staff at her self-published O Magazine 10,000 U.S. dollars each and an Apple iPad.

"As a thank you for their hard work and dedication, Oprah Winfrey surprised the staff of O, The Oprah Magazine with an Apple iPad and a check for $10,000, to commemorate the magazine's 10th anniversary," a magazine spokeswoman said.

In addition, every staff received a leather suitcase with their initials engraved in them, but the spokeswoman did not reveal the exact number of staff members who received the gifts.

Oprah is best known for her self-titled, multi-award winning talk show "The Oprah Winfrey Show", which has become the highest-rated program of its kind in history.

She has been ranked the richest African American of the 20th century and beyond, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and was once the world's only black billionaire.
