BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhuanet) -- The late pop star Michael Jackson's mother Katherine said that Michael's children will go to school for the first time, according to news reports on Tuesday.

Michael's mother is quoted by UK's Daily Mirror as saying that his children will attend a private school starting in September this year.

She broke her yearlong silence about her grandchildren's education issue, but did not reveal which school they will attend, according to the newspaper.

She has been taking care of MJ's three children since the pop singer's death last June.
