BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Hollywood’s troubled star Linsay Lohan might be in a "dangerous state", according to lawyer Stuart V. Goldberg, media reported Monday.

The actress’s former attorney Shawn Chapman Holley declined to take over her case, and Stuart V. Goldberg, a Chicago criminal defense attorney, met Lohan, her mother and sister to discuss possibility of taking over the case.

"My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child -- a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions," Goldberg reportedly told People magazine.

Actress Lindsay Lohan appears in court during a probation status hearing relating to her August 2007 no contest pleas to two counts each of DUI and being under the influence of cocaine, along with a reckless driving charge, at the Beverly Hills Municipal Courthouse, in Beverly Hills, California, July 6, 2010.

"I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences. ... She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."

Goldberg’s precondition of representing the 24-year-old star was "100 percent loyalty and zero tolerance for dishonesty." But he said the Lohans "didn't seem to understand the urgency and gravity of the situation."

At one point the attorney even worried that Lohan might be in a "dangerous state" and asked the actress if she had thought about hurting herself.

“She started sobbing quietly. She was genuinely in pain," Goldberg said, "It just slid right off her. She seemed to have some inner deep sadness that that was her fate."

Goldberg decided to not represent Lohan after their six-hour-long conversation.

Last week Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation in a pair of drunk driving cases.
