娱乐英语新闻:Lady Gaga keeps taking drugs

BEIJING, Aug. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. pop star Lady Gaga admitted to  the Vanity Fair that she still keeps the habit of taking drugs.

The 24-year-old singer didn’t mention what kind of drug she once takes, but claimed that she wouldn’t get rid of drugs anyway.

"I won't lie; it's occasional," she said in the magazine's September issue. "And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year."

"I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way," said the singer. "I don't want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It's in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster."

"I was completely mental and had just been through so much," she recalled after one scary incident which she didn’t explain what happened.

When being asked about her reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Luc Carl and recent controversial events, Gaga said that she isn't worried about the way she came across.

"My real fans know who I truly am, and they know what I represent and what I mean, and my music and my performance is what really speaks," she added.
