娱乐英语新闻:Pretty and smart: Hollywood top-earning actresses

BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Few splendid roles and smaller paychecks always make life tougher for actresses in Hollywood.

However, some of those belles manage to bring in the big bucks – they’re not only pretty, but also smart.

Forbes.com has unveiled a list of "Hollywood's Highest-Paid Actresses."

The ranking is based on how much stars earned as upfront and bak-end pay from June 2009 to June 2010, and earnings from things like clothing lines, perfume and makeup endorsements were also taken into account.
