娱乐英语新闻:Paris Hilton awakes to home intruder bearing knives

BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Paris Hilton got woken up to a guy holding two big knifes trying to break into her house in California Tuesday morning, according to media reports.
"So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him." The hotel heiress alerted fans in a message posted on her Twitter account.

Hilton was sleeping when the man attempted to enter her home at 6:42 a.m., her publicist Dawn Miller said.

"The security cameras and alarm system were alerted and the police immediately came to the house and arrested the intruder who was attempting to break a window when they arrived," Miller said.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a 911 call and took the man in his forties into custody.

Police have given few details about the incident, but said there were no injuries and confirmed the man never made it into the house.
