娱乐英语新闻:Danish film "Copenhagen" wins CILECT prize
COPENHAGEN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Danish film "Copenhagen" has won the international film award for films made by film school students, the CILECT-prize.
Danish media reported Sunday that Andreas Dalsgaard, a Danish film school student, instructed the film, which tells a story of a war photographer who returns home after five years and has then confronted with his past.
CILECT, or Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinema et Television, is an association of the world's major film and television schools. According to its statement, its goals are to provide a means for the exchange of ideas among member schools, and to help them understand the future of education for creative personnel in film, television, and related media.
The CILECT-prize is handed out every year, when schools from its 87 member countries vote on their favorite movie.
According to the Danish Film School's principal, Poul Nesgaard, Dalsgaard's combination of different genres is a great example of the Danish Film School's new direction for film development, by crossing genres in order to innovate and expand the film medium.
