Stern, 41 and himself an attorney, was acquitted of seven other charges as the six-man, six-woman jury reached the verdicts on its 13th day of deliberations.

Another doctor, 42-year-old Sandeep Kapoor, an internal and geriatric medicine specialist, was acquitted of all six charges against him.

The three defendants were accused of giving Smith excessive prescription drugs while knowing she was an addict, but they were not charged with Smith's Feb. 8, 2007 accidental drug overdose death in Florida at age 39.

Sentencing for Stern and Eroshevich was tentatively scheduled for Jan. 6. They face anywhere from probation to about three years in prison, Sandi Gibbons of the District Attorney's Office said.
