Thirty-two-years-old Franco has earned positive reviews from the critics and audiences for his portrayal of Aron Ralston in British director Danny Boyle's "127 Hours." This will be Franco's second appearance on an Oscar telecast.

A past Oscar nominee for her lead performance in "Rachel Getting Married" in 2008, Hathaway, 28, will be making her fifth appearance on an Academy Awards telecast.

The actress' most recent film is comedy "Love and Other Drugs," in which she played a patient who developed a relationship with a traveling pharmaceutical salesman (Jake Gyllenhaal). She also starred in hits such as "Alice in Wonderland," "Bride Wars," " Becoming Jane," "The Devil Wears Prada," "The Princess Diaries" and "Brokeback Mountain."
