娱乐英语新闻:Reese Witherspoon engaged to Hollywood agent

BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- The Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon is engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, her representative comfirmed on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old "Legally Blonde" actress began dating Toth, 40, earlier this year, shortly after Witherspoon ended her three-year relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

The were spotted in public in March during a romantic birthday weekend in Ojai, California.

Toth is an agent at L.A.'s Creative Artists Agency; Witherspoon is a CAA client, but Toth doesn't represent her.

Witherspoon previously divorced actor Ryan Phillippe after seven years of marriage, with whom she has two children, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7.

Witherspoon currently stars in the romantic comedy "How Do You Know."

She won an Oscar in 2006 for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in "Walk the Line."
