娱乐英语新闻:Kidman, Urban have 2nd daughter through surrogate

BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country star husband, Keith Urban, have had a second daughter born through a surrogate mother, media reported said Tuesday.

The couple announced Monday the arrival of Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, born at a hospital in Nashville, the United States, on Dec. 28.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," the couple said in a statement.

"No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

Kidman, 43, a top Hollywood star whose movies include "The Hours" and the currently playing "Rabbit Hole," and Urban, 43, were married in 2006 and had another daughter together, Sunday Rose, born in 2008.

Kidman credited her first daughter's unexpected appearance to swimming in the waters of a small Australian Outback town during the filming of "Australia." She and six other women became pregnant after swimming in Kununurra.
