娱乐英语新闻:Adam Sandler honored with Walk of Fame star
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Golden Globe Award-nominee Adam Sandler was honored by a dedication of the 2,431st star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame Tuesday, 10 days before the scheduled release of his latest film "Just Go With It."
"This is a big deal," Sandler said at a ceremony held in front of the W Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. "I feel honored and can't believe this has happened in my life."
Sandler, 44, made his television debut on "The Cosby Show" in 1987. Three years later he wrote script for "Saturday Night Live" and remained part of the cast from 1991 through 1995. He also played leading roles in films such as "Billy Madison," "Happy Gilmore," and "Grown Ups."
Sandler was nominated for one Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Awards.
A successful singer, Sandler has recording five albums.
