LONDON, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- To drive James Bond's Aston Martin is no longer a dream. To mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond, Christie's has put 40 lots of Bond memorabilia on auction from Friday.

Ten further lots are to be under hammer on October 5, the Global James Bond Day.

"With memorabilia offered from every official Bond film ever made, the auction is sure to appeal to new and established fans of the famous British spy," said Nicolette Tomkinson, director of Christie's.

According to her, each of the 23 movies, including the upcoming Skyfall, is represented in the auction with a variety of related items.

All proceeds from the auction and catalogue sales will benefit twelve charitable institutions, including the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Women for Women International, the Science Museum, the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, etc.

The most eye-catching item is surely the luxurious Aston Martin 6 Liter V12 DBS two-door Coupe, which carried Daniel Craig as James Bond in Quantum of Solace. It played a dramatic role in the film, in which Bond navigated winding roads in a high speed car chase in Italy.

Aston Martin appeared in a total of 10 Bond films, from the Goldfinger in 1964 to Casino Royale in 2006. This time the one auctioned is expected to fetch between 100,000 and 150,000 pounds (162,000 to 243,000 U.S. dollars).

Another interesting lot is an "ice" coffee table, together with candelabra, champagne bucket and prop champagne bottle from the Ice Palace Hotel in Die Another Day. It is estimated to be sold at 2,000 to 3,000 pounds, which will go to UNICEF.

The iconic poker table from "the One and Only Ocean Club" in Casino Royale has the labeled price from 3,000 to 5,000 pounds.

Women might be fascinated by the dresses appeared in the movie, like the leotard and skirt worn by Olga Kurylenko as Camille Montes in Quantum of Solace, and her black cocktail dress by Prada.

Men can buy Daniel Craig's two-piece dinner suit and wear it to watch the new movie Skyfall.

Other items include tarot cards, Omega watches, swimming trunks, sunglasses, which are exhibited to "represent all aspects of film-making", according to Meg Simmonds, archive director at Eon Productions, producers of the Bond films. Even clapper boards and posters can be found for the auction.

"A broad spectrum of prices will be covered within the auction, with online lots selling without reserve and bids starting at only 50 pounds," Tomkinson from Christie's said.

The online auction will last till 2 p.m. on October 8, while the evening auction on October 5 will take place at Christie's South Kensington venue. From Saturday to October 5, people could go the the exhibition free-of-charge.

The James Bond series is the longest continually-running film series, with the first move, Dr. No, released in 1962. Six actors have portrayed as Bond.
