Kan applauded China's effective measures to cope with the international financial crisis, saying that the Japanese government attached great importance to the Japan-China strategic and mutually beneficial relationship.
Japan would increase cooperation with China in the process of implementing new growth strategies, to create a win-win situation and achieve mutual benefit, Kan noted.

Kan was here to attend the third round of dialogue between the two countries' finance ministers in Beijing on Saturday.
China and Japan initiated the dialogue between finance ministers in Beijing in March 2006. The second round of dialogue was held in Tokyo in March 2008.
