BUENOS AIRES, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese player Tony Chen is undergoing a trial in the reserve team of Argentine first division soccer club Banfield, local media said on Friday
The 28-year-old Chen attended training sessions on Thursday and Friday under the order of coach Raul Wensel, after his managers and the club president Carlos Portell reached an agreement.
Chen was hailed by local sports daily "Ole", which wandered if he was "a star" because he left the house of Luis Guillon wearing "sun glasses, shorts, escorted by a security motorbike and driving an imported car."
Chen was born in China and moved to Argentina when he was a child. He had previously played two year for third-division club Colegios.
