体坛英语新闻:He Zi grabs first world title in women's 3m springboard at FINA Diving World Cup
CHANGZHOU, June 5 (Xinhua) -- China's He Zi scored her first world title in the women's 3 meters springboard while her Olympic champion teammate Wu Minxia missed her third World Cup title in a row here on Saturday.
He, one-meter springboard world champion in 2007, led the final from the start to the end, winning her first world title in 395.55.
He said she was very nervous during the final. "I did not perform my best because I was so nervous. I am happy to win the gold. "
Wu, Olympic champion of synchro springboard with Diving Queen Guo Jingjing in two Olympic Games, made a big splash in the 107B, forward 3 1/2 somersault and scored 54.25 which pulls down her to the fourth. She came back to secure a silver medal in 371.05.

Paola Espinosa of Mexico, platform world champion in 2009, showed her versatility on the springboard by taking a bronze medal in 367.80 after she finished eighth in the platform two days ago Changzhou.
Though Wu was one step away from her third World Cup title, she said she has already made many miracles during her career.
"According to my body condition and talent, many people told me that you cannot be an athlete or you can never be a champion. However, I am a diver for many years and I have snatched some gold medals. It is a miracle, isn't it?" Wu said.
"A silver is good enough for me. I did my best," said the 24-year-old.
In the men's 10m platform synchronized earlier on Saturday, Cao Yuan and Zhang Yanquan from China claimed victory by edging the Russian pair Victor Minibaev/Ilia Zakharov for less than 8 points.
With a lower degree of difficulty compared wit the Russians, Cao/Zhang scored 21 perfect marks - 10 points in the final, winning their first world champion in 500.46.
Minibaev/Zakharov finished second in 492.90. Cuba's Jose A Guerra/Jenkler Aguirre won the bronze with 462.60.
China has wrapped up six golds at stake so far at the 2010 FINA Diving World Cup while American duo placed atop in the inaugural team event on June 1.
The World Cup will come to an end on Sunday after women's 3m springboard synchro and men's 10m platform take place.
