RIO DE JANEIRO, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Corinthians head coach Mano Menezes declared Wednesday that he wants to see a change in Ronaldo after acknowledging the star striker's importance and main role during the club's multiple titles in 2009.

Ronaldo has not had a strong beginning to the 2010 season. The player has not been able to find his rhythm yet this year, but Menezes hopes for a quick turnaround in the player's productivity.

"We need him to produce different results. We are not happy with what he has shown us this year. If he could return to the Ronaldo of 2009, everyone would be happy. We need a strong Ronaldo in order to finish the Brazilian Championship among the top-four," stated Menezes.

Ronaldo has suffered a nagging injury in his right calf muscle. He has not yet confirmed his return, but fans are hopeful the striker will be ready on July 14 when Corinthians host Ceara in the 8th round of the Brazilian Championship.

Menezes said he is certain that Ronaldo will soon be back on the field in better shape than previously demonstrated.
