体坛英语新闻：German professional players vote Arjen Robben "Player of the year"

BERLIN, July 13 (Xinhua) -- The German professional players union (VdV) on Tuesday voted Dutch international midfielder Arjen Robben "Player of the Year."

The 26-year-old Bayern Munich star got 72.7% of the vote which can be participated by players of the Bundesliga as well as the second, third and fourth devisions in the German football league system as well as all other members of the VdV.

His teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger was on second with only 6.2% of the vote. The third place earned Bundesliga top scorer Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg with 4.9%.

Thomas Mueller, also Bayern Munich, got the title "Best Young Player" with 73.1% of the vote ahead of Marco Reus of Monchengladbach with 10.5%, to be followed by another Bayern Munich player Holger Badstuber with 3.6%.

The choice of "Coach of the Year" was a close call, but it was again Bayern Munich on first position. Louis van Gaal with 38.8% of the vote won with a slight edge against Schalke coach Felix Magath with 38.3% while Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp gained the third position with 8.6%.
