国际英语新闻:Yemen threatens more strikes on al-Qaida
SANAA, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Yemen army will continue strike al- Qaida as long as it threats Yemen's security and stability, the official Saba news agency quoted Yemeni Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri as saying on Monday.
The minister told police officers in Yemeni police academy that Yemen is able to deal with all challenges its security services facing and will continue its military operation against al-Qaida.
Al-Qaida had suffered heavy losses, including the death of a number of its leaders, the minister added.
Al-Masri highlighted the importance of applying security measures with the outlaws according to the Yemeni law and constitution.
Yemeni officials said Friday that Kasim al-Raimy, the al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) military leader and Amar Ubadah al- Waili, the leader of al-Qaida group in al-Jawf governorate, northern Yemen, were among six militants who was killed in an air strike in northern Yemen
