国际英语新闻:MSF apologizes for "inaccurate" information on Yemen: report
SANAA, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Yemen said on Wednesday it received an apology letter from medicins sans frontiere (MSF, doctors without borders) for "inaccurate" information on Yemen in its annual report, state-run Saba news agency reported.
Yemeni Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri received the apology letter from MSF on what the report described as "inaccurate information on the medical and humanitarian conditions in Saada province included in its (MSF) annual report of 2009."
"The report was not impartial and did not investigate the accuracy in description of medical and humanitarian situation in Saada," the letter read, according to Saba.
"The organization renewed its regret for the unfair report, stating that it has good relations with the Yemeni government, and was able to access to different areas in the province of Saada to provide medical services and humanitarian assistance because of the government cooperation and support," the report said.
MSF issued on Dec. 27 a report on the health situation in Saada province amid deteriorating situation due to war running there.
The report criticized the health situation in the province, blaming both the rebels and governmental forces for impeding the functioning of hospitals in Saada, the capital city of Saada province, and de-facilitating the movement of aid agencies due to continued violence.
