One sign carried by some protesters labeled the governor "the next Hitler" and "the new face of racism."
"I think what (Brewer is) doing in Arizona is similar to what Hitler did in Germany," said Long Beach City College student Cindy Lugo.
The toughest immigration enforcement law signed by the Arizona governor has worried many people who are afraid of racial profiling.
"Is the color of my skin reasonable suspicion?" asks one march sign.

Many protesters seemed impatient with U.S. President Barack Obama in pushing for immigration reforms. "Obama, the time is now," says another sign.
Other signs are just more critical. "Mr. President, you promised in the first three months you got the vote, but we are still waiting." "Obama, Abraham Lincoln was in your position and he had the courage to do the right thing. Are you going to have the same courage?" other signs ask.
