国际英语新闻:Kyrgyz interim gov't orders extradition of Bakiyev
BISHKEK, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's interim government said on Tuesday that it had ordered prosecutors to seek extradition of ousted president Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
Bakiyev was forced into exile in Belarus after opposition supporters stormed and overran his office in Bishkek last month.
The interim government led by former foreign minister Roza Otunbayeva ordered the prosecutor general's office to "take necessary measures to criminally prosecute Bakiyev and have him extradited to Kyrgyzstan," according to a government decree.
The Central Asian nation saw a bloody clash between opposition supporters and police forces on April 7 that killed at least 85 people. The interim government said Bakiyev and some of his relatives were responsible for inducing the unrest.
