国际英语新闻：Bomb explosion rocks main prison in Athens, one injured

ATHENS, May 13 (Xinhua) -- A strong bomb explosion occurred on Thursday evening outside Athens' central prison in Korydallos district.

One woman living in a nearby apartment was slightly injured, according to earlier unconfirmed reports. She was wounded in the leg by glasses from shattered windows on the balcony of her home.

Police officers speaking on condition of anonymity pointed that there could be a terrorism link behind the blast of the time bomb, which was planted in a garbage bin.

Inside Korydallos prison are held many main suspects of terrorist groups such as the "Revolutionary Struggle" which was recently dissolved.

It was the first big bomb attack in Greece since April this year, after the arrests of six people who are accused of being members of the terrorist group which was connected with a series of attacks, including a major attack against the U.S. embassy in Athens in January 2007.
