TUNIS, May 14 (Xinhua) -- A 9-year-old Dutch boy, the sole survivor of a plane crash in Libya on Wednesday, will return home on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands said.

"The Dutch boy Ruben... will be brought back to the Netherlands on Saturday May 15," a statement by the ministry said.

During his trip home, Ruben will be accompanied by his aunt and uncle, who arrived Thursday in Libya, and an attending physician, the release said.

"At the request of Ruben's relatives, the place where the plane will land (in the Netherlands) will not be divulged and the media will not be given the opportunity to be present when it arrives," the statement said, while just saying that the plane will leave Tripoli at 10 a.m. (0800 GMT).

An image grab taken from footage broadcast by Libyan TV shows the Dutch child who survived a plane crash being treated at a hospital in Tripoli. A Libyan airliner arriving from South Africa disintegrated on landing at Tripoli airport, killing 103 people but leaving the child as the sole miracle survivor, officials said.

Ruben's relatives "appealed to the media to exercise restrain and to leave Ruben and his family in peace at this difficult time, " the ministry added.

The boy was identified by Dutch press media as nine-year-old Ruben van Assouw who was with his father Patrick, 40, mother Trudy, 41, and brother Enzo, 11, aboard the ill-fated plane after a safari trip in South Africa.

The Airbus A330 was completing a more than seven-hour flight across the African continent from Johannesburg, South Africa, when it crashed on landing in the Libyan capital, which killed 103 passengers on board leaving the Dutch boy as the sole survivor.

Ruben underwent a surgery to repair several fractures in both legs. According to doctors at the Tripoli hospital, the child sustained four bone fractures and lost a lot of blood. Yet, he did not sustain fractures in the skull or the neck.

The survivor was visited by Secretary General of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ed Kronenburg who flew to the Libyan capital on Thursday along with the boy's aunt and uncle as well as an assistance team.

Earlier on Friday, Libya's Afriqiyah Airways released a list of the nationalities of the passengers on board its crashed plane, with only one passenger yet to be identified.

As many as 67 Dutch citizens were aboard the plane, including Ruben. The plane was also carrying 13 South Africans, and 13 Libyans, including 11 crew members, according to the list.

Four Belgians, two Austrians, one German, one Zimbabwean, one French, and one Briton were also on board.
