国际英语新闻:10 killed, 37 wounded in Iraq's violence
BAGHDAD, June 7 (Xinhua) -- A series of attacks on Monday in Iraq, including bombing homes of Iraqi security members, killed a total of 10 people and wounded 37 others, the police said.
Two Iraqi Army officers were killed and two soldiers were wounded in a roadside bomb that struck their vehicle in the city of Qaim near the Iraqi-Syrian border in Anbar province, a provincial police source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
In the province, unidentified armed men planted bombs in homes of four policemen in Fallujah City, some 50 km west of Baghdad, and blew them up in the early morning, wounding five residents, the source said.
Also in Fallujah, Unknown gunmen in a car attacked a checkpoint manned by anti-Qaida paramilitary group fighters, known as Awakening Council group, wounding four of them, the source added.
