国际英语新闻:New president says parliamentary democracy best for Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's newly inaugurated President Roza Otunbayeva on Saturday said that parliamentary democracy was the best and most prudent choice for her country.
Otunbayeva said in her inauguration sppech that a parliamentary democracy by diminishing presidential powers was chosen after serious ruminations considering customs, ethnicity and historical experience.
"In Kyrgyzstan, democracy is a system that has deep roots in the souls of the people," Otunbayeva said.
She said that she "will spare no effort in creating a new political culture based on strict adherence to the rule of law" as president.

Otunbayeva, the first female president of Kyrgyzstan, also vowed to promote constructive cooperation with all other political powers.
