国际英语新闻:Iran frustrates viral attack on nuclear plant system: minister
TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Iran has detected and thwarted the virus aimed at infecting Iran's nuclear plant system, Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said Sunday.
The virus which was claimed by western media that had attacked Iran's nuclear plant system was detected and controlled, Moslehi was quoted by the semi-official ISNA news agency as saying.
"The group which intended to use this virus has failed" he told reporters.
The Islamic Republic said earlier that the computer worm, Stuxnet, has infected 30,000 IP addresses in Iran recently, including the personal computers of the staff at Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant.
Stuxnet is the first discovered worm that spies on and reprograms industrial systems. It is specifically written to attack SCADA systems which are used to control and monitor industrial processes.
