国际英语新闻:Kyrgyzstan's new government established
BISHKEK, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva announced on Monday a new government structure at the first government meeting, opening a new era for the precarious nation.
"The legitimate power is established in Kyrgyzstan," Otunbayeva said at a meeting of the caretaker government with the new cabinet on Monday.
"Today we have gotten the new government," said Otunbayeva. " The caretaker government will devolve its power on the new cabinet. "
Otunbayeva also announced that she has quitted as the prime minister of the interim government, and has transferred the power to social democratic party leader Almazbek Atambayev, who won a landslide victory for the post on Friday.
The new government members include Prime Minister Atambayev, First Vice Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov, Vice Prime Minister Ibragim Junusov, Vice Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiev, as well as Vice Prime Minister for force structure coordination and representative in EurAsEC Shamil Atahanov.
The new government has 18 ministries, including the Head of the Government office led by Nurhanbek Momunaliev.
Besides, there are two national committees called the State National Security Committee and the State Water Resources and Melioration Committee, headed by Keneshbek Duishobaev and Ziadin Jamaldinov respectively.
"We have succeeded in preventing the economic and financial crisis and launching the Kambarata-2 hydropower plant," said Otunbayeva. "We have managed to reveal many frauds, adding additional millions to the national budget. We have to pay tribute to the government working all this time."
