CAIRO, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Egyptian police has found debris of the suspect of a church blast in New Year's Eve, Egyptian local media reported Tuesday.
Criminal lab experts have collected the debris of a person whom they accused to be the perpetrator of the bomb that killed 21 people and wounded nearly 100 others in an Alexandria church, Al- Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported.
The security guards found part of the bomber's body in the second floor of a mosque opposite to Al-Qiddeseen Church where the tragedy occurred, the newspaper quoted a criminal lab report as saying.
Investigations indicate that the bomber, with Afghani or Pakistani features, planned to detonate himself inside the church, but was stopped by security guards, said the report.
The bomber held a suicide belt with TNT materials mixed with particles of steel to cause extensive wounds, said the report.
