国际英语新闻:FBI Releases Photos, Videos of Boston Bombing Suspects
The FBI has released pictures and videos of suspects wanted in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and injured more than 170.
The FBI is asking for the public’s help to identify two men wanted for questioning about the bombings.
Richard DesLauriers is the FBI Special Agent in charge of the agency’s Boston field office.
“After a very detailed analysis of photo, video and other evidence, we are releasing photos of these two suspects,” said DesLauriers. “They are identified as suspect one and suspect two. They appear to be associated. Suspect one is wearing a dark hat. Suspect two is wearing a white hat. Suspect two set down a backpack at the site of the second explosion just in front of the Forum restaurant.”
Agent DesLauriers urged people to contact law enforcement and not attempt to capture the suspects.
“We consider them to be armed and extremely dangerous,” he said. “No one should approach them. No one should attempt to apprehend them except law enforcement. Let me reiterate that caution. Do not take any action on your own. If you see these men, contact law enforcement
The photos and videos can be viewed on the agency’s website, FBI.gov, or on VOAnews.com.
The images show two young-looking men wearing jackets and carrying backpacks along the race route.
Agent DesLauriers said the pictures are from surveillance cameras near the site of the explosions.
“It is important to emphasize the images from Monday are indelible, and the horror of that day will remain with us forever,” he said. “This further underscores our obligation to investigate this crime judiciously in order to bring those responsible to justice.”
Two blasts seconds apart near the finish line of Monday's marathon killed an 8-year-old boy, a restaurant catering manager and a Chinese-born graduate student at Boston University.
