Karl: That's a great idea.

Karl: So that Mike; he seems pretty even keeled.

Susan: Yeah. He's a great guy.

Karl: But you know, I mean, he's a little--Buster Brown. Don't you ever worry you'll gonna get bored?

Susan: Thanks for your concern, Karl, I'm fine.

Karl: Go figure. Even though our marriage was crazy at times, it never got dull.

Susan: Yeah, that part when you slept with your secretary was really exciting.

Karl: I know, how many times do I have to hear it? It was a mistake. But don't I ever get credit for the thirteen loyal years beforehand?

Edie: You must not be counting the Henderson's Christmas party.

Karl: Edie, not now.

Edie: Oh, what's the big deal, Karl. Your marriage is history anyway.

Karl: Edie...

Edie: It was nothing, really. Basically we both got plastered on eggnog, and we found ourselves standing under the, uh, mistletoe...

Karl: Edie...

Edie: And we were like, okay, what do we do now? So I smiled, and he smiled, and then Karl reached over, and started feeling me up!

Karl: Susie, that's not how it happened!

Mike: All right, Susie, come on, you're up.

Susan: What?

Karl: Hey Susie, it's so silly...Susie.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Susan Mayer!

Susan (singing): Start spreading the news...I'm leaving today...I wanna be a part of it, New York! New York! These vagabond shoes... (speaking) You're an ass, you know that?

1. It figures

Figure 这个词有很多意思和用法，除了作为名词表示“图形，数字”，它还可以用作动词表示“估计，想，认为”，例如：I figured that you wanted me to stay. 在片断中，“go figure”的意思就是“想想看吧”。

Buster Brown

Buster Brown is a comic strip character created in 1902 by Richard Felton Outcault which is known for his association with the Brown Shoe Company. (The name "Buster" came either directly or indirectly from the popularity of Buster Keaton, then a child-star of vaudeville.) This mischievous young boy was loosely based on a boy near Outcault's home in Flushing, New York. Buster Brown, his sister Mary Jane, and his dog Tige were well known to the American public in the early 20th century. Tige is thought to be the first talking pet to appear in American comics, and, like that of many of his successors, his speech goes unnoticed by adults.

The comic strip began in the New York Herald on May 4, 1902. Outcault left for William Randolph Hearst's employ in 1906, and after a court battle, Outcault continued his strip, now nameless, in Hearst papers, while the Herald continued their own version of Buster Brown with other artists. The latter lasted until 1911 or so, and the former until at least 1921.

A series of live-action short subjects were produced in the mid-to-late 1920s by the Stern Bros. Pete the Pup (who played Tige) and director Gus Meins were both later associated with the popular Our Gang (Little Rascals) comedies.

Buster Brown's association with shoes began with John Bush, a sales executive with the Brown Shoe Co. He persuaded his company to purchase rights to the Buster Brown name, and the brand was introduced to the public at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. The logo is still used on Brown shoes today.

Midgets were hired by the Brown Shoe Co. to play Buster in tours around the United States. These little people, who were each accompanied by a dog, performed in department stores, theaters, and shoe stores from 1904 until 1930.
