　　Nancy： Nancy!

　　Victor： 今天我们讨论的Topic是：

　　Nancy：The air conditioner isn't working.

　　Victor：　空调不工作了。

　　Nancy：This is something you can tell the reception desk at the hotel, or your landlord if it's your apartment

　　Victor：当你的空调不好用的时候，这句话可以对宾馆前台说，也可以跟你的房东说。

　　Nancy：Remember, that in western countries, air conditioner is only for cool air, not for hot air, that's called a heater. If you say, “my room is too cold, turn on the air conditioner,” people will have no idea what you're talking about.

　　Victor：但是呢，在西方国家，air conditioner只是用来制冷的，如果用来取暖的，他们用另外一个词叫heater.所以如果你和他们说我的air conditioner没有暖风，他们会觉得很奇怪。

　　Nancy：The air conditioner isn't working.

　　Victor：The air conditioner isn't working.
