美国坚持韩国撤除核武器
U.S. special representative on the DPRK of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea says the new U.S. administration remains committed to removing nuclear facilities on the Korean Peninsula. The new U.S. special envoy on the DPRK, Stephen Bosworth made the remarks after meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
Bosworth says that the resolve of the U.S. to remove nuclear facilities from the Korean Peninsula has not changed.
The special envoy also says his visit to Northeast Asia demonstrates the importance that the new Obama administration attaches to Korean Peninsula issues.
He says the top priority is to resume the six-party nuclear talk as soon as possible. Bosworth will also be making stops in Tokyo and Seoul.
