中日经济高层对话的相关背景
The China-Japan high level economic dialogue has been an important forum for airing major economic concerns. Let's takes a look at the first two meetings held in 2007 and 2009.
The high level economic dialogue mechanism was jointly launched by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, during Wen's trip to Japan in April 2007. The forum aims to forge long-term cooperation between the two strongest Asian economic powers.
The first dialogue was held in December 2007 in Beijing. The two countries reached consensus on issues including macro-economic policies, trade and investment, climate change, environmental protection, and multilateral and regional economic cooperation.
The second dialogue was held in June 2009 in Tokyo. There, the two nations stressed the importance of energy saving and environmental protection.
They also paid high regard to maintaining stable development in bilateral trade and investment. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in technology, small and medium enterprises, product quality and food safety. A mechanism for settling intellectual property disputes was also established.
Finally, the two countries agreed to work together in exploring other international markets.
