Power is back in large parts of quake-hit Yingjiang County. As recovery work continues, locals are living in make-shift camps. CCTV reporter Cui Lingnan takes a look at how they are coping.

Those who were on the road could feel the strength of the quake.

People rushed to a kindergarten to get to their kids.

After 24 hours of rescue efforts, no one was left buried underneath.

The county's central square is serving as the largest temporary shelter. On Friday morning, breakfast was served there.

An earthquake victim said, "We are cooking noodles. Several families will share this meal. We should be helping each other in this crucial time."

Locals say more tents, clothes and cooking oil are needed, and there is also a shortage of large machinery and medical supplies.

Relief efforts now concentrate on treating the injured, destroying endangered buildings, and recovering possessions.

A major provincial highway that was under repair is now open 24 hours a day to allow relief items to get through.

Power supplies to local hospitals, major roads and temporary shelters have resumed.

In all-together ten of the county's temporary shelters, telecom operators set up services for charging power and money into people's cellphones.
