中国备战台风天枰
China's National Meteorological Center has issued a blue alert for typhoon Tembin, as the storm is heading toward the east coast of Taiwan. As of 5:00 am Wednesday, Tembin was located 410 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi, the southernmost point of Taiwan.
The storm is expected to move toward eastern Taiwan while gathering force along the way, bringing heavy winds to the area. Typhoon Tembin is the 14th named storm of the 2012 Pacific typhoon season. The incessant typhoons this year have hit China and wreaked havoc in the country.
The 13th typhoon Kai-Tak left three people dead, one person missing and forced over 100,000 people to evacuate their homes in southwest China.
The 15th tropical storm named "Bolaven" is currently gathering force. It's located about 2,000 kilometers southeast of east China's Zhejiang province. The new tropical storm is expected to have no impact on the coastal region of China over the next three days.
