农村的孩子们沉浸在乐曲声中
Taking music lessons and learning to play instruments may be part of life for children in big cities, but for kids in China's rural areas, they are all luxuries. But for some, a music classroom project is making their dream of music come true.
A special treat for the kids in this small village, it’s their first time to enjoy the sound of music played by them. All the instruments are donated.
Huang Meizong, student, said, "They brought us a lot of music instruments, including maracas, tambourines, and electronic keyboards. We are so happy. We can have music lessons, just like kids in big cities."
Bamei Primary School is in a remote village in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province. There are only three grades, with three teachers and 46 students. Music instruction used to be limited to singing. Things are quite different now.
He Fuming, Schoolmaster, Bamei Primary School, said, "We will make good use of these facilities to teach them, so that they can enjoy the charm of music and get interested in it."
Liu Xiaoming, Yunnan TV, said, "Bamei is a beautiful place and people here are good at singing. But transport difficulties mean the children can’t get well- designed music curriculum. We want to change that through the Music Classroom Project. "
The donated facilities include 3D television, instruments, DVD players, music books, chairs and desks, with a total value of more than 50,000 yuan.
