小丑在墨西哥举办奥运会

Dozens of clowns have come together in Mexico city for a worthwhile project. They stretched their muscles at the 10th annual "Payaso Olimpiada," or "Clown Olympics." The aim was to raise money for charities and non-government organizations in the city.

Big shoes and red noses everywhere.

Funny diving, human bowling, clown tug of war and a clown shoe relay race featured in this particular Olympic Games.

The clowns earned points for each event.

The one with the highest score was awarded the title of "Clown Athlete of the Year".

Surimi Solecito, clown, said,"The greatest thing you can do is to make people smile. It’s beautiful."

And a very rewarding experience for everyone.

Diegolin, clown, said,"The goal is to spend some time with the children so they can see the clowns having a good time and making people smile. We can have a good time in a healthy way as well."

Aside from the funny events, all the proceeds go to a worthy cause. The Clowns Club of Mexico, organizer of this event, expected to have enough funds to pay for about half a ton of groceries this year.

The "Clown Olympics" were held at the indoor Francisco Marquez Olympic Pool. The very place for some of the events of the 1968 Summer Olympics.
