业主们用噪音来对抗噪音

Local residents in Wenzhou, east China’s Zhejiang province are making noise to fight noise.

In one corner are groups of elder folk dancers who gather every day in Songtai square for their daily exercise. In the other corner are 600 home owners who complain the recorded folk music rattles through their neighbhood from early morning to late evening.

The local residents say they have spent 260,000 yuan on a set of loud speakers -- the kind used by police for crowd control -- to blast a message asking the dancers to "comply with the Environmental Noise Pollution Prevention Law".

Their goal is to get local authorities to negotiate a solution that both dancers and residents and live with.
