卫生纸婚纱设计大赛

2014-06-16来源:和谐英语

For all brides-to-be, wedding day is a big occasion, and the wedding dress is a big part of it. So what would compel someone to wear a wedding gown made of toilet paper? Well, it's much cheaper for one, and it's also environmentally friendly...but you won't be passing it on to your granddaughter.

Three-time champ Susan Brennan from Michigan is named the winner with her 1920's inspired gown, made from 20 rolls of toilet paper, clear tape, glue and thread. 2008 winner Katrina Chalifoux from Tennessee takes home the second place prize for her 28 roll dress, which model Stephanie Pope says is easy to wear.

Stunned third place winner Amber Mills of Texas has created a vintage dress using toilet paper that dates back to the 1970's.

The contest drew over 1400 entries. Laura Gawne and Susan Bain started the competition as a photo contest with a 500 dollar prize. This year's winner takes home a 10-thousand dollar prize, with 5-thousand dollars going to second place. The other finalist receives a lifetime supply of Charmin toilet paper.
