新能源汽车九月销售猛增8倍
China’s new energy car sales jumped to more than 38 thousand vehicles in the first three quarters.
That includes more than 22 thousand electrics and about 16 thousand hybrid cars. The production of new energy cars was especially strong in September with more than 8,000 vehicles coming off the assembly line. That’s an increase of more than eight times the number from last year.
Analysts credit the surge to tax exemptions on vehicles purchased in September. The government has also issued other policies to promote new energy vehicles, including discounts on electricity tariffs and purchase subsidies. But analysts say the market for new energy cars won’t expand to meaningful levels until fundamental issues like charging station networks are addressed.
