日本发布年度外交报告
The Japanese government has released its 2015 Diplomatic Bluebook on foreign affairs. While the document acknowledges Japanese actions in World War II, it also proclaims Japan's territorial rights over the Diaoyu Islands and Dokdo Islands, which are strongly claimed by China and South Korea respectively.
The report says the disputed islands are "Japan's territory from both historical and international legal views". It accuses China of attempting to alter the status-quo of the Diaoyu Islands by driving its ships into waters around the islands. The document says Japan will firmly safeguard its "territorial integrity".
The report states that Japan will "profoundly reflect on the Second World War", and that the country will never change its status as a peaceful nation. For the first time in nine years, an English version of the report has also been released.
